Meet the newest Tolputt

Jadon Ezekiel Tolputt was born at 12:43pm on the 2nd of August 2008. Even though the doctors thought he was small and insisted on inducing me, he was my biggest baby. He arrived weighing 3.26kg and measuring 51cm long with a head circumference of 34.5cm, quite a respectable size for 18days early.  I left the hospital within 24hrs of his birth as we had to get Jeremi back on a plane to Qld where he had been working. It wasn't until nearly a week later that I realised I had missed getting Jadon his hospital "first photo" like his sisters. So the photo above was my attempt at creating a homemade "first photo" so the little man wouldn't feel left out. I'm yet to print it out 5 x 7 and frame it with his sisters' photos but I think it will be not too noticeable that it wasn't professional like the others.

Why Not?

That's it, I'm doing it! I'm joining the blogging train...... Probably much to my husbands disgust when he finds out (he's one of those "why can't you just pick up the phone?" types). He does have a point, communication has become far less personal these days, but I've decided that any excuse to recall your families ups and downs and any excuse to take more photos is worth it! Memories are priceless!!! So, now what? Well I thought I'd start by thanking my sister-in-law for helping me source a cool background and blinkee, before I knew it I had my own 'thing' happening, so thanks Vienna! Many that know me well, might question my choice of blinkee??? But I was thinking.... (Jeremi hates it when I think!). Things have not always been easy for us relationship wise, we have travelled a rocky road, but when I think about it we have so much to be thankful for! A beautiful family and a lovely home, it's so easy to look past the good things when life can be so stressful. Mortgages and other stresses, including trying to relate to someone who appears to be from another planet, can quite often leave us wondering why we are where we are today??? And really in our circumstance and probably in many others' it all starts with 2 people falling in love. So if you feel yourself having one of those questioning days, make a goal to remember and maybe even rediscover the love that started it all.....
